My little sister came to visit me! So, we just HAD to do a photo shoot! I miss being able to go out and photograph her when ever like we use to growing up. So, when we do get together, we try to do a shoot. This time, we included her guitar. She is somewhat of a modern hippy, so this was fun creating images for her. We did some other images with my daughter, I’ll try to post those later. My daughter likes to do “fashion shoots” as she calls them, and wants to make a magazine of the images she takes.
We had a fun family day this past Friday. Here’s a picture of my son enjoying his drink at McDonald’s.
After taking some portraits of my daughter, my son wanted in on the action as well, so I took some pictures of him. He even posed himself! What a Ham!

All the redbuds are budding right now, and I just had to go out and photograph them! I love how this one came out. Might just add it to my fine art page and offer it for sell! Definitely frame-able.
I am back now from Philadelphia. I went to a workshop with Karen Carey of Karen Cary Photography in her studio just outside of Philadelphia. It was such a wonderful resource. I learned so much about myself, my work and where I need my business to go. To any of my photography friends out there who are searching for the right direction to take with their business, this is one workshop that I recommend. She really helps you get down to the heart of your work and passion and helps you see what you are already doing well.
It is because of this workshop that I am now changing gears and focusing more on the art aspect of my photography. Major changes are coming soon, including a whole new business name, Pamela Powell Photography. This is a complete change over, and as things progress, I will be announcing them to you.
Also, if anyone is in the Philadelphia area and is looking for a super great cake, check out The Master’s Baker. I met Paul on the side of the road, because I thought I had locked my keys in the car. He was the sweetest man, and called Triple A for me, and stayed with me until the car was unlocked. I am sure you will get the same customer service for all your decorative cake needs.
