I had the greatest time at After Dark – Dallas. I got to rub elbows with many talented portrait photographers from around the country. It was a lot of fun and I learned lots. After Dark is an awesome experience, in that you get to pick your own experience, much like a chose your own adventure book. There are business pods to learn more about making money and products that will make you money, and shooting bays where you can expand your creativity and learn some new techniques that you may not have thought of before. You can also experiment and try new things and bounce ideas off of other photographers. It is just an all around great experience. There is nothing quite like it. The mentors are all great and all willing to help in any way and answer all your questions. I think I asked tons of questions, but I got them all answered.
Below I posted some of the images I created while I was there. Some of the instructors I shot with were Amy Parrish, Beth Jansen, Brook Shaden, among others. I think they were my favorites. They were my favorite sessions for sure. I don’t have all the session edited to my liking yet, but I will be getting to them soon.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy them and I look forward to incorporation what I learned into my next sessions!
